O-shot – Vaginal Rejuvenation

What is The O-Shot?

The Orgasm Shot™ (or O-Shot) is a non-surgical, in-office therapy for female sexual enhancement and treatment for urinary incontinence. The O-Shot uses Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) to effectively treat conditions like vaginal dryness and urinary incontinence.

Everything You Want to Know About the O-Shot But Didn’t Know Who to Ask

From puberty to pregnancy to menopause, a woman’s body goes through many changes. With everything that females endure, it’s no wonder 75% of women don’t consistently experience orgasm, and many more suffer from embarrassing conditions, such as stress incontinence.

The team at BodyGoal Med Spa understand the frustration sexual dysfunction and urinary incontinence can bring. Fortunately, there’s a new treatment that could mean the end of battling these frustrations: the O-Shot®.

What is the O-Shot?

The O-Shot is not a drug or medication. The O-Shot uses your own platelet-rich plasma (PRP), which is obtained with a simple blood draw. The growth factors in the PRP solution are then injected into the clitoral and vaginal areas. This process stimulates multi-potent stem cells to generate healthier and more functional tissue in the areas of sexual response and urinary continence (G-Spot, O-Spot, Skene’s Glands, urethra, and vaginal wall).

What conditions does the O-Shot treat?

The O-Shot can treat many conditions, including:

  • Stress urinary incontinence
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Sexual dysfunction or painful intercourse
  • Inability or decreased ability to achieve orgasm
  • Chronic vaginal pain from childbirth or transvaginal mesh
  • Weakness or pain in the pelvic floor
How does the O-Shot work?

Platelet-rich plasma contains naturally occurring growth factors. When PRP is injected into your clitoral and vaginal areas, stem cells are activated in the injected area, which encourages tissue regeneration and increased blood flow.

With new tissue and increased blood flow in the areas responsible for sexual pleasure, sensitivity is increased.

Is the O-Shot safe?
Yes. The O-Shot is comprised of your own blood, so there is little risk of complications.
Where will I be injected and how many times?
Patients receive two injections: one in the clitoris and one in the wall of the vagina.
Does getting the O-Shot hurt?
While the injections are made in sensitive areas, your care team will apply a topical anesthetic prior to the injections to minimize discomfort. Most patients report little to no pain during or after the O-Shot.
How long will treatment take?
Treatment sessions are fairly short, typically lasting no longer than one hour.
How long is the recovery time?
The O-Shot does not require downtime. You can resume your normal activities immediately, and there is no need to delay sexual intercourse.
How soon will I experience results?
Each person will respond differently to the O-Shot. Some patients report an immediate improvement. For most patients, however, the growth factors usually take about two weeks to fully engage, and the maximum benefit is typically reached in 3 months.
How long is each treatment good for?
While results vary, most women enjoy the benefits of a single O-Shot for 1-2 years.
If I get the O-Shot more often, will I have better results?
Yes. Patients seeking the best results usually schedule a follow-up treatment about 12 months after the initial injection. Annual O-Shot injections are recommended to maximize and maintain benefits.
Does the O-Shot replace the need for lubrication?
Because the O-Shot increases sensation, women typically achieve greater arousal more quickly after the O-Shot. As a result, natural lubrication is increased, and many women find they no longer need supplemental lube to enjoy sexual activity. Results may vary depending on the severity of your vaginal dryness before receiving the injection.
Does the O-Shot have any side effects?
Most patients don’t experience any negative side effects. However, as with any injection, some temporary irritation at the injection site is possible.
Am I a good candidate for the O-Shot?
